All hands on deck! Get set to explore the importance of San Diego’s naval past with tickets for a guided walking tour of Liberty Station.

After a brief introduction, you'll kickstart your San Diego adventure by exploring Camp Paul Jones – the heart of the Liberty Station district. Here, you’ll get a feel for what it was like to be one of those sailors… without the drill instructor! See the dispensary, where over two million naval recruits would receive medical care, often for the first time in their lives.

Pass by the pristine green lawns of Sail Ho Golf Course, kept in ship shape for professionals and military personnel alike. Observe the WAVES barracks, built for women entering the US Navy after the end of WWII, and the Command Center, home to the top brass and numerous exhibits showcasing what life what like in the barracks.

In the home stretch, you'll pay tribute to fallen soldiers at the Boats Memorial, dedicated to the 52 submarines and their crews lost during WWII. Lastly, parade across Preble Field like sailors who marched during training and on their graduation day.

Raise a beverage of your choice and toast to the brave men and women of the US Navy who called San Diego Liberty Station home.

Show your smartphone ticket to the guide at the starting point: The “USS BRAVE” art piece outside of the west entrance to Liberty Public Market, next to the parking lot.
