Foro di Cesare - Viaggio nei Fori
The 'Forum of Caesar' was built by Julius Caesar in 46BC, near the Forum Romanum. It was originally intended as an expansion of the first forum, but it quickly became known as a center of public business and a commemoration of Caesar's power and influence. Julius Caesar was so proud of his shrine to himself that he later added a statue of his favorite horse.
Following Caesar's assassination, the forum was reconstructed by the Roman Emperor Domitian in AD 95.
