Tales from Iceland pays tribute to the country's fabulously otherworldly scenery -and the 343,960 oddballs who call it home. It combines state-of-the-art display technology with years of archive material and contributions from visitors worldwide, it's a quirky love letter to the coldest country with the warmest heart.
On the ground floor, the Nature Explored by Visitors Exhibition uses 14 gigantic 2.5-meter screens to display images and footage of Iceland, captured by visitors from all over the world. All screens are synchronized, so it's like experiencing Iceland through hundreds of pairs of eyes at the same time. You're encouraged to follow your own path, so every experience is unique.
Upstairs, Iceland's rich history is brought to life with remixed news and archive footage, covering everything from Vikings to the Cold War, and Icelandic sporting heroes and movie stars. Cutting edge 'Sound-Cloud' technology means no earphones are required – you're enveloped in a pocket of crystal-clear audio in front of each screen!
