Fotografiska Berlin presents The Fury, the latest exhibition from acclaimed Iranian photographer and filmmaker Shirin Neshat.
Through her stunningly stark black and white photographs and video work, the show sheds light on the lived realities of sexually exploited female political prisoners in the Republic of Iran.
The video installation featured in The Fury depicts a highly fictionalized and stylized representation of the life of a female political prisoner after experiencing sexual assault and torture. This searingly emotional work shows a journey of reckoning, and confronts the female body as both an object of desire and scene of violence.
This exhibition shows images of nudity. We recommend that children and minors visit under parental supervision.
A production by bro.studio // Director: Ivan Olita // DOP: Ben Elias // Project Leader: Kevin Neal // Concept & Creative Supervision: Felix Gärtner // Executive Producer: Rebekka Emrich
