Getting there:

By foot: About 45 minutes walking from the center of Sintra
Bus: Scotturb Line 434 (Pena circuit) from Sintra Train Station
Train from Lisbon (Estação do Oriente, Estação do Rossio, or Estação de Entrecampos)
Please note that the venue is not reachable by car

Transfer services:

There is a paid transfer service available bringing guests from the park entrance to the palace. The service runs every 15 minutes and is wheelchair accessible
There's a free hop-on hop-off transfer service available between the Palace and the Chalet of the Countess of Edla. Simply show your entrance ticket and hop on!

The park and palace are excellent, but not enough warning about the parking (lack there of), time to find parking, time to walk to where you have to be when your time begins, degree of difficulty...

The park and palace are excellent, but not enough warning about the parking (lack there of), time to find parking, time to walk to where you have to be when your time begins, degree of difficulty of walk to palace entrance, availability/cost of shuttle, delay involved in waiting for the shuttle, etc…all while attempting to arrive at entrance for timed entry. I suggest plan to arrive in sintra 2 hours prior to timed entry. Know where you will park and how you will get to the park entrance. Buy shuttle tickets there.
