Getting there:

  • By foot: About 45 minutes walking from the center of Sintra
  • Bus: Scotturb Line 434 (Pena circuit) from Sintra Train Station
  • Train from Lisbon (Estação do Oriente, Estação do Rossio, or Estação de Entrecampos)
  • Please note that the venue is not reachable by car

Transfer services:

  • There is a paid transfer service available bringing guests from the park entrance to the palace. The service runs every 15 minutes and is wheelchair accessible
  • There's a free hop-on hop-off transfer service available between the Palace and the Chalet of the Countess of Edla. Simply show your entrance ticket and hop on!
Castle of the Moors: Skip The Line
  • No animals are allowed in, apart from guide dogs
  • Flash photography and tripods aren't allowed inside the palace

A very pleasant walk in the grounds and brilliant views from the upper levels of the castle. A relief after the overcrowded hub-bub of the Pena Palace.
