Excellent
Definitely getting these tickets in advance and booking a time slot. Our train from Lisbon was cancelled and the next train was delayed so glad I had booked an afternoon slot!

Gardens were amazing and so extensive - kept getting lost as they were so big! Such an incredible collection of trees and shrubs. If you like tree ferns you will think you are in heaven!

Park and Pena Palace in Sintra: Entry Ticket

About: Park and National Palace of Pena

This 16th-century monastery was transformed into a royal palace by King Ferdinand II. Not known for his subtlety, Ferdinand's folly is a no-holds-barred tribute to the wealth and influence of 19th-century Portugal.

A testament to the power of imagination (and money), the castle is surrounded by 500 acres of plants and maze-like pathways.
