The Pantheon is really beautiful but going into the basement to see the crypts was the true highlight. As for the Basilica of Saint-Denis, we didn't realize that it is 6 miles away so we never got...
The Pantheon is really beautiful but going into the basement to see the crypts was the true highlight. As for the Basilica of Saint-Denis, we didn't realize that it is 6 miles away so we never got to see it. If you don't have transportation, don't spend the extra money for that.

A sense of overwhelming impacts as you go inside. A monument to war and historically great figures. The paintings on the walls are really interesting. The crypt area takes a while to get through.

About: Panthéon

The Panthéon is a beautiful, neo-Classical church located in the Latin Quarter of Paris, easy to reach on foot and by public transport. Originally dedicated to St. Genevieve (the patron saint of Paris), it's now a secular mausoleum that houses the remains of many French luminaries, Among those buried here are Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Marie Curie, and Émile Zola.
