Palace of Versailles
This luxurious 17th century French castle is a masterclass in excess. It has hundreds of acres of magnificently landscaped gardens, more than 700 rooms, a large collection of 18th century French art, an opera house and a 75 m-long hall of mirrors lined with statues and busts. There are no half-measures in its conception or execution (for example: it has more than 1,200 fireplaces!).
It's one of the most visited attractions – and castles – in France, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

What an awesome place to visit.
One in the lifetime opportunity.
I would recommend seeing the palace before seeing the lourve. The Garden also appeared open to everyone so paying extra was a waste! My friend would like to add, “coffee inside was terrible and the seating is limited in the snack area, and the toilets not so nice.” Also the audio guide is pretty basic and some of the history written on stands was worn off
I was so happy
