Good
A sense of overwhelming impacts as you go inside. A monument to war and historically great figures. The paintings on the walls are really interesting. The crypt area takes a while to get through.

About: Panthéon

The Panthéon is a beautiful, neo-Classical church located in the Latin Quarter of Paris, easy to reach on foot and by public transport. Originally dedicated to St. Genevieve (the patron saint of Paris), it's now a secular mausoleum that houses the remains of many French luminaries, Among those buried here are Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Marie Curie, and Émile Zola.

The Arc de Triomphe is Napoleon's Neoclassical take on the ancient Roman triumphal arch. It's at the center of a square, with a dozen Parisian avenues radiating out from it into the rest of the City of Light. At the base of the arch the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is rekindled at 6:30 each evening.

This 19th-century architectural masterpiece was built by Charles Garnier at the wishes of Emperor Napoleon III. It's located at the Place de l'Opera, a square in Paris's 9th arrondissement. The insides of the Opéra Garnier boast some stunning Beaux-Arts architecture (the 30-meter high marble Grand Staircase for example). Its intricate interior inspired Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera (and thus Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash-hit musical), making this the perhaps the most famous opera house in the world.
