This blooming huge outdoor museum/botanic garden at the University of Palermo has been planting a love of nature in people for 200 years! Relax, unwind, and enjoy something different in Sicily.

Palermo's most gorgeous garden is not only a haven of peace and tranquility – it's here that devoted botanists study important plant species from Sicily, Europe, and elsewhere across the Mediterranean basin.

This beautiful park contains a greenhouse, a seed/dried plant repository, and over 10 hectares of outdoor gardens. It's floral fun for the whole family!

If your green fingers are itching to know more about Italy's botanic splendor, all your answers are here amongst the ferns, mosses, fungi, and of course, the flowers.

  • To get there you can take the bus from the central station to the Botanical Garden, lines: 231, 107
  • Show your smartphone ticket at the ticket office, and you will enter the first timeslot available
  • You will receive the code to activate your PemCards credit: Pemcards allows you to turn any photo into a real postcard and send it via smartphone all over the world
  • Please walk on the paths and walkways and avoid invading plant beds
  • Do not remove or damage plants or their parts. This rule also protects visitors from contact with possibly toxic or otherwise dangerous plant material
  • The introduction of any plant material, including dried, is not allowed unless it has been expressly authorized
  • No recreational items (balls, kites, frisbees, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades etc.)
