There's a lot to inspire you here at one of Palermo's most impressive and important galleries. Browse 214 works, including 176 paintings and 38 sculptures representing some of the best modern art in Italy from local and international artists.

All pieces on display are meant to reflect Italy's ever-changing trends in fashion and taste across the early 20th century. It's a pretty unique building too, so you might want stick around for a coffee in the cafe afterward.

Henri Cartier-Bresson (21 October 2017 - 25 February 2018)

Henri Cartier-Bresson is one of history's greatest photographers, known for his pioneering style of street photography and candid portraits. An early adopter of 35mm film, he paved the way for countless contemporary photographers, and his work is just as vivid and engaging today. This new exhibition brings together 140 of Cartier-Bresson's greatest works to immerse the visitor in his world – telling the story of his life, and his groundbreaking technique.

Villa Strohl-Fern (24 March 2018 - 2 September 2018)

Browse around 60 of Francesco Trombadori’s paintings dating from 1915-1961, borrowed from important Italian public and private collections. See drawings, books, exhibition catalogues and newspaper articles, some of which are inspired by his hometown of Siracusa, from the 'Archivio dell’artista' (Artist’s Archive) in Trombadori's study at Villa Strohl-Fern.
