On 3 April 1995, the Amandine entered Oostende harbor and dropped anchor for the final time. It's now an interactive museum and a great opportunity to learn about the Icelandic fishing industry and the courageous work of fishermen.
There's something fishy going on here. Mainly cod, haddock, sapphirine gurnard, blue ling, pollack, sea bream, large plaice and Scottish dab - all of which were once caught by the mighty Amandine.
Thirteen years after dropping anchor for the last time this interactive exhibit makes for an educational experience for all ages.
Learn about the brave fishermen who trawled for their catch as you walk through, under and around the ship, and watch videos that put you in the fishing action!
With a capacity to hold a whopping 65 tons of fish, the Amandine was a lynchpin of Iceland's fleet.
It's now an eye-opening and exciting thing to do in Oostende, Belgium.
