Located in the province of Lecce, this former Greek Orthodox monastery and working farmhouse center is a stunning example of Puglian Romanesque architecture that is still being restored to its former glory. Despite the restoration, it is already open to the public, meaning you can visit it and see the restoration process at work. It makes for a perfect quiet cultural retreat in the beautiful Italian countryside.
