Pompeii was lost to us for many centuries. It was discovered initially in 1599 and properly in the 1700s and it’s one of the world’s truly great archaeological sites. The volcano wiped out the people, but the town they lived in was remarkably well-preserved because of the combination of ash and lack of moisture.

Pompeii: Skip The Line
Great service. Easy to book before departure. We got to Pompei early and there was actually no lines at all but the service was still good to have as we went in easily.

Pompeii: Skip The Line
You get a ticket to get inside the area, but no map. Maps are, however, freely given away right before the ticket entrance itself, in a little booklet (in many languages), with quite detailed information on each location (and there are MANY).
So it's an easy way to get an entrance ticket, and probably the easiest way to get in for the intrepid explorer. The queue wasn't that long when we arrived, but it was still easier and faster.

Pompeii: Skip The Line
I went to pompeii just before 17:00 on a saturday. There was no queue (I bought skip the line tickets online). It was pretty hot and dry, so make sure you take plenty of water or bottles (so you can fill them). Pompeii is pretty impressive and the level of conservation of some pieces is incredible. I opted by using my own audio guide by Rick Steves, but have to assume is pretty difficult to navigate and the experience can be enriched if you get your own guide. Some places were closed to visitors and I didn't see that many casts of people as I was expecting. But overall a great experience.

Geat thing to have these tickets. Instead of standing in a few hour long queue in gazing sun, we just stood in a short one where we showed IDs of people under 24, and then we got the tickets. Pompeii is an absolute must do in Naples, but I’d recommend the direct tains to Pompeii, and not the regionals we got (we bought trough Italia rail)

Pompeii: Skip The Line
Great option to save time! 2 tickets cost there 26 euros, with this option we paid 32 euros, but if you want to skip the line, it's perfect.
Ps: get a guide when you get to Pompeii because without it, you'll not find all the details and great stories!

Excellent. No probs. Queue was over an hour at port entrance so online tickets did the trick! Just remember if buying a young person's reduced ticket take some ID. Recommend.
