The Endless War exhibit at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya presents Antoni Campañà's photography of the Spanish Civil War. This work was only uncovered in 2018 when his family found it by pure chance.

The images had stayed hidden in a box for more than 70 years, and the museum has been lucky enough to get its hands on this long-buried treasure. The quality and artistry of the images represent a true sense of historical significance, cementing Campañà's name as one of Spain's photographic greats from the 20th century.

The artist's family have loaned out 63 photos, some of which are being displayed for the first time, which show an uncensored portrayal of the war – from everyday life to the horrific violence experienced across the country.
