A lovely little zoo that is worth the entry price. Some of the enclosures are a little out of date, particularly for the oran-u-tans, the big cats and the birds, not allowing a great deal of freedom, but on the whole some beautiful creatures in very pleasant surroundings.

Formerly known as the Bois de Vincennes Zoological Park, the 14.5-hectare Paris Zoological Park recently underwent two years of refurbishment works, giving this famous zoological park major natural environmental features, and plenty of room for the animals to roam. The animal habitats have been grouped five 'biozones', and the zoo has six restaurants and a 4,000 m2 tropical rainforest-filled greenhouse.
