The entrance to the Australian Sports Museum is located within gate 3 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Car Parking:

There is no parking available underneath the MCG or in Yarra Park for Australian Sports Museum visitors. Alternative parking options include:

  • Melbourne & Olympic Parks
  • On-Street Parking
  • CBD Parking

Getting here:

Trains:

  • Jolimont Station: North of MCG, 5-min walk via Yarra Park from Gate 3. Take Hurstbridge or Mernda lines from CBD.
  • Richmond Station: Southeast of MCG, longer walk via Punt Road Oval and north around Yarra Park to Gate 3. Reach it from CBD via various train lines.

Trams:

  • No. 75 and No. 48 stop by MCG near Jolimont Station. Just a 5-minute walk through Yarra Park to Gate 3. Tram No. 70 takes a detour from Flinders Street to Swan Street. Then, a quick walk across the footbridge to MCG Gate 3.

Bus:

  • Route 246 is a useful service for patrons from the northern and southern suburbs. It stops at Punt Road and is just a short stroll through Yarra Park to the MCG.
