About: Maison Victor Hugo

Standing alongside the likes of Shakespeare and Company, Café de Flore, and Oscar Wilde's grave at Père Lachaise Cemetery, Maison Victor Hugo is one of the most treasured literary pilgrimage sites in Paris.

The luminary Romantic writer responsible for timeless masterpieces like Les Miserables, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, and countless other works of genius, Victor Hugo spent 16 years of his incredible (and prolific) life in this sublime Parisian townhouse.

These days the building is one of the 14 City of Paris Museums and is one of the best museums in Paris. And that's saying something!
