Started in the 1920s as a private collection, the museum now comprises part of Madrid’s renowned 'Golden Triangle of Art' and is famed for the breadth of its works. You’ll find works here by Van Gogh, Goya, Holbein The Younger, Titian, Kandinsky, and Jackson Pollock and many more. Many masters are represented by a single painting and the focus is not on a single artist but the overarching evolution of art. The museum offers you a chance to sample a very large collection of heavyweights under a single roof.
If you have more time in Madrid, it could be much more confortable, if you visit the biggest museums in different days, in certain periods you can enter into the famous museums for free.
We had only one day here, so summarizing the "Skip The Line" trip was one of my biggest cultural adventures in my life.
