Take your sense of adventure for a paddle in the ocean's incredible biodiversity, with an Aquarium of the Pacific membership. Come nose-to-nose with fearsome-looking sand tiger sharks, zebra sharks, and even a hungry hammerhead!
Discover rainbow-colored poison arrow frogs, see otherworldly jellyfish and meet a cute family of waddling penguins. Your ticket also includes entry to the state-of-the-art Pacific Visions building, featuring a 4D cinema experience taken to the next level.
Meet more than 500 species of marine life – and over 12,000 animals – at the Aquarium of the Pacific, and see fascinating exhibitions that will take you on a deep-dive into the science of marine biology and oceanic conservation. You’ll be drowning in things to do.
The Southern California/Baja Gallery represents California's diverse marine environment across 18 exhibits. With an Aquarium of the Pacific membership you can expect to see playful sea lions and languid seals having a swimmingly good time together – you'll also encounter vibrant schools of balloonfish, colorful Cortez rainbow wrasses and more!
Learn more about the American wetlands at the shorebird sanctuary and see black-necked stilts, western snowy plovers, killdeer, and ruddy ducks amidst the beautiful flora and fauna of their natural habitat. These birds of a feather are kept together, away from their noisy parrot neighbors in Lorikeet Forest.
Take a trip to the Tropical Pacific Gallery, where stunning seahorses, seadragons, vibrant coral and clownfish will dazzle you. The gallery also includes Coral Reefs: Nature’s Underwater Cities, where you'll find flashlight fish, red-footed boobies, and a green sea turtle!
There are rockpools and touch-tanks too, where you can handle some of the creatures like gelatinous moon jellies.

Weekend visit:
The Aquarium is most crowded on the weekends (and during the holiday season and the summer). If you do decide to visit on a Saturday or Sunday, you can beat the crowds by coming earlier (09:00-10:00). On weekdays, school groups visit the Aquarium in the morning, but leave by 14:00. If the venue's still too crowded, you can always re-enter if you get a stamp at the exit.
