Tower Of London

Though most famous for the imprisonments and beheadings held there it has, at various times, served as the royal residence, mint, menagerie, armory, observatory and as the holding place for the Crown Jewels - a function it still serves.

Legend has it that six ravens must guard the tower at all times, or else the kingdom (as in United Kingdom) will fall. The ravens are still there, and so is this nearly thousand year old complex of stocky stone structures.

Visiting The Tower was simply mind blowing and viewing The Crown Jewels was a memory that will stay with us for ever. Our daughter was in a wheelchair so there was lots that was simply too awkward to get to due to stairs but what we did see we loved. We would definitely recommend a visit to the tower it was perfectly organised and everyone was helpful, friendly and polite and dispite hugh crowds ques went down quickly. Don't leave London without seeing it!!

Excellent day out apart from long queues, Ned to get there early and also see Crown Jewels first

Tower of London
Excellent in all respects except that we could not see the Crown Jewels as the queues were too long all day, and to have queued to see them would have prevented us seeing the rest of what was on offer. Our visit lasted for 5 hours from 11.30am until 4.30pm.
