  • Step back in literary history with an insightful Globe Theatre guided tour
  • Relive the magnificence of the Shakespearean era and imagine Hamlet as it'd have been originally performed
  • Open all year round, the Globe Theatre is an olde-worlde treat and a chance to learn all about a unique British building

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” So said Shakespeare in As You Like It. Take a fun tour of the Globe Theatre, see what Shakespeare's stage was like in 1599, and learn how one man came to change the face of English literature.

The authentic Tudor exterior and thatch roof (the only one in London) are preludes to what awaits you inside The Globe: an exquisite and architecturally accurate recreation of Shakespeare's original theatrical home.

Throughout the year the expert guides bring this extraordinary space to life in a 50-minute Globe Theatre tour, with colorful stories of the 1599 Globe, plus all the facts about the reconstruction process in the 1990s and how the building works today as an imaginative and experimental theatre space. Take a seat ‘within this wooden ‘O’’ – listen, absorb and ask questions as the secrets of the Globe unfold.
