Fascinating. I have been to numerous events over the years but had no idea of the history of the building.
We had an excellent guide who showed us round. The Band of the Royal,Marines were rehearsing while we were there so we couldn't spend as much time in the auditorium as tours usually do. But this did not make it any less an experience. The enormity of the logistics operation timetabling all the hundreds of events that take place in the Albert Hall and in the satellite rooms, is beyond comprehension! Well done to all of them!
I have been to the Albert Hall several times but the tour was different. It was very interesting to hear about the history of the building and historical and iconic events held there over the years.

Very good tour. Lucky that there was only 5 of us on our tour. Very interesting and our guide was very informative.
Rather too much stopping in front of photos of celebrities and show biz rather than seeing more of the building. Ok, there was a rehearsal going on, but I was hoping to seeing a bit more of the auditorium and maybe backstage. A pity on this occasion the organ and orchestral stage were not visible.
The visit itself was good; however, even tjoughI bought a ticket for a specific time slot and paid for it, I received a mail 25 minutes prior to inform me that my scheduled slot was fully booked and I had to come at a different time. How come the booking systems are not integrated?
We have been planning a visit for a while and finally went - it was really interesting and we were lucky with our tour as there were just four of us and our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable.
We plan to return and watch a performance in 2019.
