Explore the world's oceans in a single day! At Livorno's stunning city aquarium, you can travel from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, admiring over 2,000 sharks, sea turtles, and tropical fish as you go. High-tech tanks simulate marine environments from around the world and hands-on exhibits keep kids informed and entertained – time to dive in!
The giant Indo-Pacific exhibit holds a whopping 30,000 liters of water, where striped zebra sharks zip among shoals of colorful lionfish. Then take a trip to the Mediterranean, and admire the spectacular sea turtles which are native to central Europe.
You can even travel back in time to the seas of ancient Greece and Rome (complete with authentic shipwrecks!) and see technicolor recreations of coral reefs.
Kids will want to make a beeline for the touch tank, where they can get closer to their finned friends than ever before, and giant interactive displays throughout the aquarium let you get hands-on with the most fearsome animals in the ocean.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most famous attractions in Italy, known for its iconic diagonal tilt. Constructed over the course of 199 years, the tower originally dates back to 1173 when it was built during an especially prosperous period in Pisa's history.
Drawing over one million visitors per year, the tower was off-limits to guests between 1990 and 2001 for safety reasons. Following a decade of corrective reconstruction, it is now once again able to hold visitors for centuries to come.
The Duomo in Siena is ideally located in a piazza above the Piazza del Campo, easy to reach on foot and by public transport. This Gothic building houses treasures by the likes of Pisano, Donatello, and Michelangelo, as well as frescoes by Pinturicchio.

The entire site belongs to the Catholic Church and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
