The British Music Experience are celebrating one of Liverpool's most successful groups ever! Come and learn about Liverpool’s post-punk scene and what propelled the band Frankie Goes To Hollywood to fame. See iconic Frankie Goes To Hollywood stage outfits, instruments, memorabilia and a collection of retro “Frankie Say” merchandise. With a focus on their meteoric success in 1984 and the political landscape of that year, the exhibition will also be further supported through a season of events celebrating 1984, including film screenings, album playbacks and discussions.

Modern technology meets historical memorabilia to transport you back to 1945, and then return to today. Eavesdrop on interviews, watch historical artifacts come to life, and get the chance to throw shapes to some 'massive choons'.
The big highlight is the Gibson Interactive Studio, where you'll get to indulge your musical dreams by playing iconic instruments like Les Paul guitars and Roland synthesizers. You can even hit the vocal booth to sing your heart out. And if you have no musical talent? Just play the drums!
