Lindos is perhaps one of the most ancient castles in the world and one of the important archaeological sites in all of Greece. Spend some time at the 4,000-year-old Acropolis of Lindos and soak up the incredible views of Lindos and the sea from the top.

Peer up close at magnificent Byzantine ruins and don't miss a trip up to the Doric Temple of Athena Lindia, which dates back to 300 BC.

Remember to pack a hat and some water - there is no shade at the top!

Walking up the hill and seeing the long line of people, in the sun, I was so glad we had prepurchased our tickets. Straight up, past the line and through the checkpoint with no queuing

Can't fault the tickets but stupidly tried this in 36 degree heat, which feels even hotter up there, the climb to the top was too much for two of our group who had to sit in the shade at the bottom.
