Poema del Mar, (or 'Poem of the Sea') is a hyper-modern aquarium on the sunny harbor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Dive into 35 unique ecosystems from around the world, see over 350 species of exotic marine life, and 2,000 species of flora!
Skip the lines and step into this futuristic-looking building, a world that's swimming with creatures big and small. Explore the lagoons of the Jungle and see the ecosystems supported by rainforests and other habitats around the world.
The 400,000-liter cylindrical tank of Reef showcases the rainbow of biodiversity found in coral reefs. See colorful mangroves, beautiful jellyfish, sea dragons, seahorses, and lazy, doe-eyed turtles.
Poema del Mar saves the most spectacular section for last with Deep Sea. Behind its 140-ton curved glass live the aquarium's most impressive residents. See hammerhead sharks, angel sharks, sand-devils and manta rays, all gliding gracefully past you. You'll be glad of that reinforced glass!
