Float between the misty peaks of Langkawi on a spectacular aerial adventure in the SkyCab Cable Car – the steepest cable car ride in the world. Experience mesmerizing views of lush jungle, sweeping valleys, and the shimmering Andaman enveloping Malaysia's ancient archipelago.

Your cable car chariot awaits in the foothills of Gunung Machinchang, ready to whisk you above the treeline and into the clouds over Langkawi. Soon you'll be looking down over a vast panorama of mountaintops, valleys, and distant islands shimmering on the horizon.

Between each station on the cable car, you'll get the chance to stretch your legs and enjoy 3D art installations and immersive audiovisual experiences. Take a voyage through space in the SkyDome, a 360° theatre that takes you on an interstellar journey through the cosmos. Or, experience the SkyRex, an immersive projection ride that takes you on a Jurassic Park-style train journey through prehistoric lands inhabited by enormous 3D dinosaurs.

You'll also have the option to traipse across the jaw-dropping SkyBridge – if you're brave enough!

  • Show your smartphone voucher at the ticketing window, and pick up a paper ticket
  • Long queues can be expected during the holiday season. Please arrive earlier to redeem your tickets

Please note:

  • Availability of the SkyBridge is subject to weather conditions. Please note: Any closures of cable car rides due to extreme weather will not be refunded or amended
  • This activity is suitable for people with disabilities. However, disabled visitors are advised to skip the Middle Station and proceed directly to the Top Station. The Middle Station is not disabled-friendly

Standard Gondola:

  • Capacity: 6 people, with a total weight of 480kg
  • You may share the gondola with other passengers
  • It takes 15 minutes to reach the Top Station

Glass Bottom Gondola:

  • Capacity: 6 people, with a total weight of 480kg
  • You may share the gondola with other passengers
  • It takes 15 minutes to reach the Top Station
  • You will have a dazzling view of the forest and the mountain as this gondola is fitted with a fibreglass floor

VIP Gondola:

  • Capacity: 3 people
  • It takes 15 minutes to reach the Top Station
  • Enjoy the privacy of a VIP Gondola

Excellent
The views of the island are amazing and if you go early the queues are minimal. Just make sure you’re not afraid of heights since the cable car is quite steep and goes up to 700 meters above sea level.
