About: Jewish History Museum
Jewish history runs through the streets and buildings of Amsterdam. Reminders of the holocaust are ever-present, from the queues outside the Anne Frank House to the brass cobblestones serving as memorial plaques outside the homes of Jewish residents lost during the war.
The Jewish History Museum has gathered a wealth of information to paint a picture of Dutch Jewish life, both as it was in the past and in its current state. The museum also includes a Children's Museum where kids can learn about Jewish life and traditions in a playful way, from learning some Hebrew words to helping bake bread in a Kosher kitchen.
