The Viveros garden is also known as Los Jardines del Real, a public park in Valencia. In 1560 the gardens were used as nurseries. Philip II ordered a large number of orange and lemon trees from here to beautify the gardens of his palace in Aranjuez. Inside the park, you'll find the Museum of Natural Sciences of Valencia, the work of Luis Gay with a large collection of fossils, one of the entrances to the Museum of Fine Arts, and the archaeological remains discovered in excavations, carried out in 2009.
Mestalla Stadium is one of the oldest football grounds in Spain. Built in 1923, it's the famous home of La Liga side Valencia CF. Guided tours are available throughout the year, and include a museum visit, plus behind-the-scenes access to the locker rooms, and pitchside photo opportunities.
