The Blue Mosque
Sultan Ahmed Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque due to its blue-tiled interior, is the most important mosque in Istanbul. It was built by the Ottoman Sultan Ahmed I between 1609-1616, and was designed to compete with the majesty of Hagia Sophia. It is located next to the Byzantine Hippodrome in the old city center.

- Budget time to go through security; this can take 30 mins
- Show your smartphone ticket to the guide at Binbirdirek, At Meydanı Cd No:10, 34093 Fatih/İstanbul. Your guide will meet you at the Dsign Cafe in front of the Turkish and Islamic Art Museum located on the Hippodrome, right next to Egyptian Obelisk.
- The Istanbul Welcome Card tour guides will be wearing red uniforms at the meeting points (see Additional Info)
- Your name will be on the list for three days. You can arrive at the meeting points at the first available time. It's possible to visit all three venues in one day, or across three days
