  • Admire a unique folk art monument and true Houston landmark in a maze-like 3,000-square-foot environment devoted entirely to oranges
  • Learn about Jeff McKissack, The Orange Show's creator, and his theories regarding health and longevity, hard work, and oranges
  • Let a friendly and helpful expert take you on a guided tour, and tell you all about the history and significance of this artistic treasure

Built by the late Jefferson Davis McKissack, a Houston postal worker, this monumental ode to oranges is a unique folk-art environment that's graced Houston's East End for decades.

Spread out over 3,000 square feet, The Orange Show's maze-like design includes an oasis, a wishing well, a pond, a stage, a museum, several upper decks, and – of course – an excellent gift shop.

Made of traditional materials like concrete, brick, and steel, as well as unconventional found objects like gears, wagon wheels, mannequins, and tractor seats, each piece of the Orange Show Monument was hand-painted and placed by McKissack himself.
