St. Mary's Medieval Mile Museum
Opened in 2017, Kilkenny’s Medieval Mile Museum tells the stories of the wealthy merchants who built and attended St. Mary's church and ruled over the city of Kilkenny between 1200 and 1650. The setting of the museum is the 13th-century St. Mary’s church and graveyard.
The museum contains over 800 years of Irish history, with special attention paid to Kilkenny’s Civic Treasures, such as the Ossory High Crosses and magnificent stone-carved tombs.
