The Thermenmuseum, with its ancient Roman bathhouse, is perfect for history-hungry visitors who want to delve into the Roman history of the Netherlands.

Walk inside the enormous, factory-like structure that protects its incredibly preserved ruins. Admire a 500-meter Roman wall and delicate artifacts galore, as an audio guide introduces you to life under Roman rule. Discover the role of thermal baths in Roman society, and see them come to life before your eyes with projections and a dazzling 3D light show.

There's also the '400 Years of Bathing' exhibition, which traces the site's history and includes a 360° video experience placing you at the baths through the ages.

Getting there:

  • By public transport: As you exit the train station, continue to walk along the Geerstraat (about 10 minutes). At the end, on the other side of the roundabout you can see the Thermen museum on the left
  • By car: The museum does not have its own parking facilities. However, Q-park Raadhuis parking garage is only a 1-minute walk away. It is located at Uilestraat 4 in Heerlen
  • People with disabilities are allowed to park in front of the entrance in one of the two parking spaces (provided one is available). A permit is available at the front desk

博物館策展非常有趣且清晰有趣,會對羅馬人帶來浴場的時期,當地人生活的樣子有更多理解跟想像。也針對親子觀眾有準備,應該也很適合家庭一起來!非常推薦!

Als je van archeologie en Romeinen houd is het zeer zeker een aanrader. Ik vond het zeer interessant maar ben er niet door gegrepen. Alles was heel goed georganiseerd.
