In three videos, artists Jakob Ganslmeier and Ana Zibelnik explore modern trends and risks of online and social media radicalization.
The exhibition includes the video pieces Redpilled, Public Enlightenment, and Bereitschaft (meaning "readiness" or "preparedness"). Each video takes a close look at the risks of sarcastic humor, and the appeal and justification of violence, that come from well-known, and influential, meme characters like Wojak and GigaChad.
Through the exhibition, Foam aims to show how image creation on social media is complex and hopes to improve users' media understanding, making you more aware of the images you see or share, and how radical propaganda gradually becomes normalized in public conversations.
