Inside the Galleria dell'Accademia you’ll not only find Michelangelo’s, David, but other masterpieces from this great Florentine artist, including Prisoners and St. Matthew. You'll also see a disputed work that is sometimes credited to the artist, Palestrina's Pietà.

This exceptional concentration of Michelangelo's works has contributed significantly to the fame of the Accademia Gallery, making it the second most visited museum in Florence after the Uffizi.

Given the relative narrowness of the museum's spaces and the large turnout, there’s always long lines of tourists waiting to enter, so a reserved entrance ticket is worth the price. Avoid waiting around and take advantage of the fast-track ticket service in order to ensure safe and immediate entrance to the museum.

An assistant will meet you in front of the museum at your chosen date and time and give you your entrance ticket along with any extra information you may need.

Terrible
Terrible. They made an appointment with me for the visit of Academia. Minutes before the meeting time they have sent an e-mail informing about the change of the meeting point. As I was siteseeing...
Terrible. They made an appointment with me for the visit of Academia. Minutes before the meeting time they have sent an e-mail informing about the change of the meeting point. As I was siteseeing at this moment and not sitting in fron of my computer I of course miised that e-mail (I believe it is normal for any tourist to sitesee during their trip and not stay in front of the computer checking every minute their mailbox). As a result nobody was at the original meeting point and of course I miised the visit to Academia. I contacted later the customer service but the lady on the phone was extremely rude and put all the blame to me. They didn't refund. I will never use their service anymore and will recommend anybody I meet not to use it.
