Depart from Florence to see the natural features of Tuscany, including walls, castles, and Templar legends. Travel by bus to Monteriggioni, a small fortified village with walls from 1200 AD, which you can walk through.
After some free time, head to the Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with hills that change from green to gold in summer. Visit Montalcino, known for its wine, and enjoy a walk through its streets and shops.
The final stop is Pienza, known for its cheese. See the Val d'Orcia landscape on the return to Florence later in the day.
