Depart for Siena in the morning and through the lovely Chianti vineyards. Arrive to this heart of this Tuscan hilltop town and soak in the red-orange hue of the city. Your professional guide will lead you through the medieval streets of Siena, including the Piazza del Campo – where the centuries-old tradition of horseracing still takes place – and the spectacular Siena Cathedral.
A short journey takes you to a family vineyard in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Dine on a delicious, traditional Tuscan lunch served with typical wines from the region.
After lunch, depart for San Gimignano – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – famous for its intact medieval layout. Often nicknamed the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages”, San Gimignano hosts tall, narrow towers to create a skyline that looks a bit like a modern city. Here you have free time to explore the town center, artisan shops, and cobbled squares.
Then, drive by hilltop hamlets scattered over some of the most beautiful and enchanting Tuscan countryside and arrive in Pisa. Head to the Field of Miracles, a green grass field dominated by the dazzling white buildings of the Duomo, the Leaning Tower and the Baptistery – exquisite examples of Pisan Romanesque architecture. Take plenty of pictures before departing back to Florence.
