The walking tour with Alison was just superb. Her intimate and deep historical knowledge of Edinburgh is only matched by her wit, charm and enthusiasm. Being a tour guide on these must be quite a slot at times; yet Alison never made it feel that way - she made the entire group feel special. From learning almost everyone's names on the fly, to adding in little personal anecdotes, Alison was warm, approachable and deeply knowledgeable. We consider ourselves very lucky to have had our tour led by a genuine scholar and historian whose passion for history and Edinburgh made the 3 hours just fly by. Thanks again Alison.
