Description

Wondering what a farmer's life was like in 18th-century Ireland, apart from the whiskey and freezing winters? Tour the Newbridge House and Farm with a live guide and see the unique furnishings, hear great anecdotes from days of yore, and visit a working farm with ponies, pigs, and chickens.

The Georgian Villa known as Newbridge was built in 1747 for the then Archbishop of Dublin, Charles Cobbe (1686-1765) and was home to the Cobbe Family until 1985.

With your engaging guide leading the way, you'll tour their old working farm and learn the history behind the oil paintings, plush furniture and other trappings of the upper classes.

Afterward, set the kids loose among the ponies, pigs, goats, and chickens at the working farm. Or tire them out in the state-of-the-art adventure playground. Or both.
