Reviews

King Johns castle is a centerpiece of Irish and European history being part of the Norman interest in Ireland , and the whole period is on exhibition with the latest techniques . Later we have the Cromwelian campaign which had such a profound effect on the country in 1649-51 . Later the war of William and James in 1690 ending with the Treaty Stone with Patrick Sarsfield one of Ireland's great heroes and later dying in Belgium fighting for the successful Sun King Louis 14 . So this international link is shown clearly and in a memorable way and should be part of all schools history class. It could be linked to the poetry of those who wrote of these events . It is spacious and has many great views from the battlements which I enjoyed a lot . I think anyone with an interest in history would enjoy it .
