Once activated, your ticket is valid for the number of hours you’ve chosen.

  • Show your smartphone voucher at the meeting point, the Cologne Tourist Board Service Center, and collect your KölnCard
  • In order to use your KölnCard for free local public transportation, you must validate the card in the ticket stamping machine before your trip
  • You must present your KölnCard to the service provider before receiving the benefit that is being offered. Please note that you must present the card before you place your order at restaurants

The card was pretty useful. We bought a group pass for up to five people and it saved us money, as well as inspiring us to visit some interesting places we otherwise might not have (EL-DE House in particular). You'll have to visit several museums/restaurants to get your money's worth, but if you're looking to make the most of your trip this is a pretty good way to do it. Can't give it five stars because exchanging our e-tickets for the physical pass took longer than we thought, but overall it was definitely worth it.
