The Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine and Société du Grand Paris will be presenting the exhibition "Métro! Le Grand Paris en mouvement" exhibition. The exhibition is devoted to the metro, its history and the urban transformations associated with it. The immense worksite currently underway on the Grand Paris express offers an exceptional opportunity to reconsider mobility on the scale of a territory - that of a metropolis of 12 million inhabitants. With its double loop and 4 new metro lines, the network under construction will irrigate territories, create new hubs and new types of public buildings, in particular to improve suburb-to-suburb travel: an infrastructure that gives substance to the Greater Paris whose contours have been constantly redrawn over the last century. Sixty-eight new "stations" in all, where architects and artists have worked together to develop a project for a place that will serve its inhabitants.
