Jean-Claude Mézières (1938-2022) was a major figure in 9th art. With scriptwriter Pierre Chistin, he created the comic strip Valérian et Laureline, whose first adventure appeared in the 1967 issue of Pilote. Heir to the classicism of Jijé and Franquin, and steeped in the American influence of Mad Magazine, Mézières defined himself as a painstaking draftsman, a "worker of drawing."

The visit is worthwhile because of it’s historic value to the area. The paintings on the ground floor gave you the sense of the era. The video presentation was ok, I think it could have been...

The visit is worthwhile because of it’s historic value to the area. The paintings on the ground floor gave you the sense of the era. The video presentation was ok, I think it could have been presented differently. The first floor desperately needs more historic artifacts to keep it interesting. The grounds were great.
