Nothing can prepare you for the explosion of color, textures and movement that this museum holds take your time to sit and absorb the experience. I am not necessarily a fan of contemporary art, but thank goodness Hortencia Herero had an expert eye. The collection is housed in a restored 17th century palace, so the architectural features are just as important as the art. I am certain the museum is more crowded on a weekend, but on rainy Friday afternoon, it was peaceful giving you time alone to view a piece that interests you.
