Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Visitors mostly spend around 2-4 hours inside Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, which provides enough time to visit the three main attractions (Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and Cliffwalk). So If you're wondering how long you'll need – at least two hours is the answer.

If you're extremely pushed for time, you could flash your Capilano Suspension Bridge tickets, cross the bridge, come back and exit the park in 30 minutes.

Walking across the bridge itself can be done in about 10 minutes, but that really does depend on how often you stop to bask in the glory of nature!

It's not just the amazing bridge walk that's on offer with Capilano Suspension Bridge tickets. You'll also get access to both the Cliffwalk and Treetops Adventure!

Treetops Adventure is an adjustable walkway built into the canopy, 110 feet above the ground. Look down at the forest floor from way above, and look out for wildlife as you make your way through the trees.

The Capilano Cliffwalk makes for a heart-pounding experience. The Cliffwalk winds 700 feet around the granite cliff edge and allows you to explore previously unreachable parts of the forest.

Every year for Christmas, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park goes all out with its festive light show. Canyon Lights allows you to enjoy the traditional Vancouver hanging-bridge experience, with carefully placed lights illuminating the canyon and gushing Capilano River beneath you. It's a magical Christmas soiree!

The whole park is dressed in glowing decoration, with trees, rocks, and paths lit up to create a mesmerizing journey into the forest. There are daily activities for families and prizes on offer, with toasty treats and hot chocolate available to keep the cold at bay.

Make sure you get the most out of your Capilano Suspension Bridge tickets this Christmas!

Canyon Lights runs from the end of November through mid-January at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.

  • The bridge was originally built in 1889 out of rope and planks of wood, but has been rebuilt and patched up multiple times over the years

  • The Capilano Bridge is 140 meters long and hangs 70 meters above the Capilano River below

  • Capilano Suspension Bridge Park welcomes over a million visitors every year

  • If you're scared that the bridge isn't strong enough, don't be. It can hold the weight of almost a hundred elephants!

The Capilano Suspension Bridge is just a 15-minute drive from Downtown Vancouver. An easy (and environmentally friendly) way to get to the park is via the Capilano Suspension Bridge Shuttle. Better still, the bus is free to use!

This specially provided Capilano Suspension Bridge bus service starts downtown, making its way from Canada Place, to the Hyatt Regency and Blue Horizon, and up to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.

The shuttle runs between June and October each year and passengers must purchase Capilano Suspension Bridge tickets in advance to ride.
