You're good to go!
Easily the world's most ambitious museum, as well as being the most environmentally friendly, the Cancún Underwater Museum is unlike any other museum or art installation in the world. Consisting of over 500 statues and sculptures which are located on the seabed off the coast of Cancún, this remarkable art museum is one of the most essential cultural attractions in the area.
But there's more to this immersive art attraction than simply being a unique spectacle. The building materials used in each sculpture were specifically designed to attract underwater wildlife and vegetation to create an artificial reef. Many of Cancún's reefs were damaged and destroyed by Hurricane Wilma in 2005, so this incredible project is just as much an ecological treasure as it is an artistic one.
