Accessible via a sun-kissed cruise or a brisk hike through hilly woodland trails, arriving at this hidden oasis makes for some golden memories, no matter which way you approach it.

Getting there:

  • By boat: Transfers are available year-round from the Camogli pier by the companies Servizio Marittimo del Tigullio, Golfo Paradiso SNC or Cooperativa Battellieri . Camogli can be reached by train from Genova Brignole station in Genova, or by car. Seasonal boat transfers are also available from Recco, Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo, Sestri Levante, Lavagna, Chiavari and Genova (please refer to the official website for more information)
  • On foot: The Abbey of San Fruttuoso can be reached by hiking along the paths of the Portofino Park

De vaartocht was mooi..maar het klooster was uiterst sober en saai! Ik heb zoveel mooiere kloosters gezien …vooral in Zuid Frankrijk. Wellicht waren mijn verwachtingen te hoog gespannen
