The exhibition Under the red, white and blue is a tribute to the American flag whose colors waved over Utah Beach and Omaha Beach in the early hours of June 6, 1944.
It is also a tribute to the American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald who wanted to give the title Under the Red, White, and Blue to his novel The Great Gatsby, now considered to be the great American novel and the great novel about America.
This Caen Memorial’s upcoming exhibition will mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings.
